Where we are up to
Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Training was provided to Bail Justices in 2018.
The Department of Justice and Community Safety recently awarded a contract to refresh and provide additional Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Training to all Bail Justices, with the first of seven training sessions commencing in October 2022. The Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service (VALS) and Djirra were consulted (on a paid basis) in the development of the training program.
